Hilmer Castillo was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. From there, his early photography career started as his school's class photographer. In 1999 he moved with his family to Houston where he refined his artistic craft by concentrating on his editing skills. He currently attends the University of Saint Thomas for his Graduate studies while he continues his career in financial services with The Bank of New York Mellon. Never losing sight of his aspirations of becoming a professional photographer but wanting to build on his skill set, he completed several assignments/private pro-bono in order to continue his growth as a photographer. As his photography and editing skills progressed, he embarked on a tour to Tokyo/Hakone to start his professional portfolio. "Polychromatic Beginnings" marks the start of his journey to share his vision through his lens with the people around him.
