Saundra Schwartzkopf was born in Paris France, lived her childhood in Southern Illinois and attended Washington University in St Louis. She has lived and worked as an artist in Athens Greece, Dallas Texas, San Francisco, New York, and presently maintains a working art studio in the Bushwick area of Brooklyn. Her art displays a painterly abstract realism that reflects her interests in philosophy and metaphysics as well as the mood and feelings of her surrounding. Her playful application of paint and use bold colors are emotional based and worked out through series of paintings.
