Pablo Ricatti was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on December 13, 1976 and
currently lives and works in Miami Beach, Florida.
This is his second solo exhibition, his first was at Amendment XXI in the Design District, Miami in 2008. Also in 2008, he had a piece featured at the Arte
Contemporåneo Museum in El Salvador. More recently he’s displayed his work at
events such as Congregation Miami and Miami Beach’s Sleepless Night 2009 at
the Gansevoort South Hotel.
In May of 2000 Pablo received a BA in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Though his career began shortly after in Atlanta as an engineer, in 2002 Pablo moved back to Miami and began to veer his career back towards the creative, working on various projects as an independent graphic designer. From 2003 to 2005 he headed packaging design for Del Monte Fresh
Produce and from 2005 to 2007 he designed for Miami Beach’s own branding agency, Cre8tiv Juice Group.
Pablo continues to design for various design firms under his LLC, Ricatti Designs and over the past couple years has began to emerge as a local artist.
“I’ve found that it helps to diversify the creative. It keeps every project fresh and
interesting, which makes for better work.
Lions are beautiful, magnanimous creatures. To me, simply put, they represent strength and love. Their majestic peace is something I’ve always related to and gravitated towards. Creating this series was very fun and light, yet it intimately expresses how I feel about those closest to me. Each piece was inspired by one and/or multiple people in my life and came naturally over the course of about 2
years. They’re mixed media. Drawn and painted on wood with airbrush acrylics,
pencil, chalks and partially coated with polyurethane.”
