Carlotas has started her experience with spray painting in 2007, when she began painting her house, neighbors and walls around her hometown São Paulo, Brazil. Before that she worked with paper and canvas, using different material simultaneously.
Trash'n Colors is her first exhibition using spray skills. The idea is bring to Piola the streets of New York City. After two months collecting trash from the streets, Carlotas used spray, acrylic and marker to make her colors and trace come to live on table tops, windows and doors.
