Carolyn Parello studied art in Tuscany, Barcelona, and The School of Visual Arts in NYC and her expressionistic, street-smart works are featured around the globe. Parello was born and raised in freezing Chicago, Illinois, home to the early skyscraper race to the heavens. In the mid-80’s she moved to New York City where she spent most of her adult life capturing and creating art all over this grand metropolis. All of that city living and marveling at the soaring skyscrapers and other unique architecture helped define the awe-inspiring images of the energetic urban landscapes that we see showcased in Parello’s work today.
Like going to an amusement park, Parello’s work pops off the walls, draws you in and drops you in the heart of the city. Her images never skimp, you get the whole deal from the rhythm, to the sounds, the tastes, the smells, and it’s a total experience. Ms. Parello currently lives in New England, and continues to travel the world hunting for images!
