Piola Restaurant proudly presents Olesya.i’s latest exhibition, “Golden Landscapes,” a playful painting collection of stylized landscapes inspired by a life’s travels, decorative ornamental Russian traditions, it’s colorful seasons, and simply the spirit of the soul. Meet the painter, Olesya Ianovitch, and enjoy the modern, and chic atmosphere of Piola on opening night, Tuesday, October 28th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm., as Piola celebrates the latest painting collection.
It is a personal attempt to showcase an opinioned beauty, and never ending energy; inspired by elements of nature. Canvases are filled with decorative, whimsical patterns, slight hits of architecture, gilded with small flowers covered with glossy paint, layered with transparency of think glossy acrylics. Making these combinations with the intent to tell the story of traveling through the world, gathering spirits and traditions of cities and people. Perceived as a grandeur, or a more intricate story passed between youth it’s its view of the world around. The journey is vast and entertaining, it breaks the expectation in traditional use of oil, escaping the ordinary and is inspired by the elements of nature. The exhibit attempts to bring a never ending energy to canvas paintings by use of decorative, whimsical patterns, slight hits of architecture. It displays a fascination with bright colors that define shape and seeing a different perspective inspired the Piola collection that romances the colors into an upbeat splash of landscape perception. Olesya’s select vibrant paintings have been displayed at the Russian Art Gallery in Moscow, Spring 2006. The new collection will be a part of the group exhibition of Spring Works 2009 at the Agora Gallery, Chelsea New York. A special feature will be published in the ARTisSpectrum Magazine following the exhibition.
